#KIELI2023 - Accessibility and language: language services for all
The theme of the #KIELI2023 conference is accessibility and languages. Among other things, we will hear what types of accessibility services are needed in the language sector. We will also learn how clear language and fluent customer service can help you stand out and gain insights into learning Finnish and integrating into Finnish culture and society. We will also learn about accessibility and language services from the perspective of a deaf person.
Speakers at the conference include Siamäk Naghian, CEO of Genelec, Marko Vuoriheimo, an entrepreneur in the interpreting industry and musician known as Signmark, Eeva Öörni, an accessibility and communications expert, and Josef Kubovsky, CEO of Nimdzi Insights. There will also be a panel with language service customers who will talk about the services they need, and presentations by LSPs that offer accessibility services. The conference will take place in early autumn on Friday 8 September 2023 from 9–17 at Clarion Hotel Helsinki, in Jätkäsaari by the Baltic Sea.
There will also be a conference dinner at Clarion after the conference. You can sign up for the dinner separately. The dinner is a great way to continue networking and get to know your colleagues.
